Born in Kolkata in 1965, Anandajit Ray completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at M. S. University, Baroda, in 1989 and 1991 respectively.

This work comprises the following:
1) Six bronze stools measuring 12.5 x 13 x 13 inches
2) Six iron flagpoles that screw into the stools
3) Six aluminum pennants with stainless steel ball bearings, numbered from 1 to 6 that range in height from 24.5 to 28.5 inches, and in length from 30.5 to 37 inches and are meant to be bolted onto the flagpoles
