F & C Osler is a glassmaking firm that was established in 1807 in Birmingham by Thomas Osler. The firm started off manufacturing chandeliers and glass furniture locally before expanding to other parts of the UK and becoming the most celebrated makers of extravagant glass chandeliers.

One of the major commissions that kickstarted the firm's success was their production of a 27-feet high crystal fountain for the Great Exhibition at Hyde Park in London in 1851, after which the firm gained recognition among British and European aristocrats as well as internationally - particularly among Indian royalty. As a result of the increased trading between Great Britain and India, F & C Osler products were introduced to Indian maharajas who went on to become some of the most distinguished patrons of the firm’s glassworks.
