Founded by Carl Franz Bally in 1851, Bally, a Swiss luxury brand, originally operated as a family-run ribbon factory in Schonenwerd. Within a few years, Bally transitioned into a pioneering global brand specialising in leather work with stores from Uruguay to France thanks to their industrialised processes and infrastructure and services to support its employees. The past 150-years-plus have seen Bally continuing to honour its timeless traditions of craftsmanship and high quality in their leather products. Their most iconic shoes, such as the men's formal Scribe Novo, created by Carl's grandson Max Bally in celebration of the brand's 100-year anniversary in 1951, are still handmade in Switzerland, taking 240 artisanal techniques to complete.
