Automatic Refresh
When you are logged in, all bidding-related values (such as the current bid and countdown clock) and status messages (such as "You've been outbid"), refresh automatically every few seconds. The "Last Updated Time" at the top of most auction pages will update when this happens
There is NO need to hit the refresh button in the browser (or ctrl-R or F5). This refresh takes longer as it reloads every component of the page
A link has been provided on each page to refresh values immediately if you need to, or if the values on the page are not auto-refreshing for some reason
Searching
You can type an artist name or lot numbers into the search box at the top of the left navigation menu
Alternatively, you can use the select-by-artist or select-by-price options in the left navigation
To search for multiple lots, enter each lot number in the search box separated by a space (e.g. 10 23 47 75)
My Auction Gallery
Use this feature to track the specific lots you are interested in
To add lots to your auction gallery, click on the 'Add to My Auction'
If you bid on a lot, it is automatically added to your auction gallery
Proxy Bids
When you set a proxy bid, your proxy maximum is displayed below the current bid. Other users cannot see your proxy maximum.
To change a proxy bid to a higher or lower number, simply enter a new proxy value for that lot.
To stop a proxy bid, click on the proxy maximum link "Proxy: $70,000" to go to the 'my proxy bids' page. Or you can go to 'My Auction Gallery' from the left-navigation and click on 'my proxy bids'
Bidding page 'filmstrip'
The filmstrip at the bottom of the bidding page is a convenient way to navigate between lots
If you hold your mouse over these images you can get the current bidding status for that lot
Clicking on image loads the bidding page for that lot
Lots Nearing Close
This page displays all those lots that are will close in the next 15 minutes
Your bidding status on each lot is also displayed
As with other pages, bid values and related messages refresh automatically every few seconds
When lots close, they are automatically removed from this page
Live Auction Summary
This page provides a global view of auction activity
Bidding activity is automatically updated on this page
