CLASSICAL INDIAN ART (14 DECEMBER 2015) : HOW TO BID

Overview

A Saffronart Live Auction combines room bidding with online and phone bidding, and is very different from our online-only auctions.

Although Saffronart Live Auctions will offer the facility to bid online, here are the major points of difference:

• Bidding on each lot will be opened and closed in sequential order by the auctioneer. There are no lot closing groups or times.

• Online bidders will be able to view a video of the auctioneer in the auction room (as pictured above), along with a list of lots, and the current bid on each lot as it is auctioned

• Online bids will be accepted at the discretion of the auctioneer, just as bids in the room are

• Online bidders will not be able to place proxy bids during the auction
