Height: 31 in (78.7 cm)
Width: 15 in (38 cm)

REGISTERED ANTIQUITY-NON-EXPORTABLE

The lot on offer is a fine three-dimensional carving, perhaps once part of a chariot. Here, Rajamannar or Krishna is seen standing with his consorts Rukmini and Satyabhama to his right and left respectively. Krishna's hair is tied up in a bun and he blesses his devotees with his right hand. As the chief of cowherds, his left hand rests authoritatively on a staff. A tree with thick foliage is seen in the background. Two devotees are seen seated high up on the tree pouring offerings to the Lord.

Wood carvings of this scale would have once been one among a few major figures within the chariot.
