This book gives an account of the celebrations held at the Delhi Coronation Durbar which was held on 1st January 1903 to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Edward VII, Emperor of India. It describes in detail the accession of the Emperor of India, his Coronation at Westminster, The Princes and Nobles of India, like The Nizam of Hyderabad, The Gaekwads, the Maharajas of Mysore and Kashmir, The Rajputana's, The Maharaja of Sikkim, and the Chiefs of Bombay, Bengal, and Punjab.

This work is the most comprehensive contemporary record and far superior to modern reprints because of the quality of the illustrations, particularly the photogravures, which are printed on heavier paper. The portraits are not the most obvious subjects and include interesting representatives from distant areas [Kalat, the Shan States, Nepal, etc].
