The more you look at the same exact thing, the easier and deeper it is to understand that thing. After images appear on the screen of the mind at some odd moment - it could be in a movie, or in a moving bus - they become familiar and are constantly confronting and occupying the space of the imagination. Later on - with these same images - a process of hatching takes place through a constant drawing and sketching in order to shape these images,... The more you look at the same exact thing, the easier and deeper it is to understand that thing. After images appear on the screen of the mind at some odd moment - it could be in a movie, or in a moving bus - they become familiar and are constantly confronting and occupying the space of the imagination. Later on - with these same images - a process of hatching takes place through a constant drawing and sketching in order to shape these images, which otherwise lie molten in the mind waiting to take form and solidify.

I extract images directly from sources such as magazines, newspapers, posters, striking television visuals, billboards, hoardings etc. I call them "Ready made images" rather than popular. But they are popular too. ‘Readymade’ because they are constantly produced in multiplicity and easily available through various sources. One can also take it for granted as "secondary sources".

I am not trying to make any dramatic statement on these images. They are common images commonly confronted by a common man in his local environment. We see them often, but how often do we think about what they mean to us? This is the crux of everything seen in my works.
