Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix is the fifth book in J.K. Rowling's seven-book series about the wizarding world of Harry Potter. The book was first published in 2003, and has since become a beloved classic of children's and young adult literature, with millions of copies sold around the world.

In Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Harry is now fifteen years old and is dealing with a number of challenges. He is still grieving the death of his godfather, Sirius Black, and is struggling to cope with the reality of the wizarding world's return to a state of war. In addition, Harry is dealing with the isolation and frustration of being kept in the dark about important information by the adults around him.

Throughout the book, Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione work to uncover the truth about the mysterious Order of the Phoenix, a secret society of wizards dedicated to fighting against the dark lord Voldemort and his followers, the Death Eaters. Along the way, they confront a number of challenges and dangers, including new magical creatures, old enemies, and the loss of beloved characters.

The book is known for its darker tone and more mature themes than the earlier books in the series. It deals with issues such as grief, loss, and trauma, as well as the complexities of adolescence and the challenges of growing up. Despite this, it retains the magical and imaginative elements that have made the Harry Potter series so beloved by readers of all ages.

It was made into the 2007 film directed by David Yates, starring Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, alongside Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as Harry's best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
