Kar took several photographs of Souza; this being one of the seven photographs in the catalogue; which captures the artist as a rising star in London???s art fraternity. In this iconic image, ??????wearing a herringbone jacket, disguising his paint- stained corduroys, Souza is well presented in the manner of 1950s decorum; however his composure belies the torment of his past and the search for stimulation.???
