The name Bhairavi means ‘terrifying’, she is also called Tripura Bhairavi, which indicates that she is the supreme terror in three worlds. Bhairavi is an incarnation of Goddess Shakti and is a very popular deity in Hindu folklore and also among many tantric practitioners.

This processional figure is cast from bronze, into two parts in an interlocking manner. These types of figures were used in temple processions during festivals, hence it is also called Utsava Moorti.
