xiii, 33, xii, 40, 292 pages including 15 chromolithograph plates to text, 43 further plates bound at rear including 3 double spreads by Vincent Brooks Day and Sons. These are listed as belonging to a separate volume so either the volume was not issued, or the separate volume was originally to only contain the plates. Fold out map before frontispiece of Duke of Edinburgh before the main text; green cloth boards with illustration in gilt and black, beveled edges, marbled paper edges.

The majority of the text is in Gujarati. There is a 40-page translation of the major passages in English.
