Panda's exploration of this complex relationship between the natural and the manmade takes form through the use of unconventional materials, as noted in the present lot. Made of cloth on fibreglass, the present lot is a reflection of the diversity of expressions and symbolisms possible through animal images and forms. "By using animals as his protagonists, Panda alludes to a desired circularity where the reciprocal influence between the cultures of the powerful and the subordinate can be at balance."
