He has featured in other major shows like 'City- New Perspectives from India' at the House of World Cultures, Berlin; 'Kitch Kitch Hota Hain' at the Habitat Centre, New Delhi; 'The Human Factor' curated by Girish Shahane and organized by Guild Gallery, Mumbai (2001); 'Creative Space' (Sakshi Gallery/India Habitat Centre, Delhi); 'Debt' (The Guild, Mumbai) in 2002.
He has received many prestigious awards such as 'Bendre Husain scholarship' and Bombay Art Society Award. He was selected to work/study at Rijksakademie, Amsterdam during the year 2002-2003 and has also won the prestigious 'Prix De Rome' Award, Amsterdam.
He was one of the participants at the festival 'body.city - New Perspectives from India' that took a panoramic survey of contemporary Indian art and culture. Launched by The House of World Cultures, Berlin in September 2003 this festival included two exhibition openings: subTerrain and artworks in the cityfold and Popular Indian Culture: The Conquest of the World as Picture. The search for one's own identity as provoked by experiencing foreign surroundings was the focus of the multimedia work "Black to Play and Draw" by Anant Joshi.
The artist lives and works in Mumbai.
