Ramkinkar's rendering of a landscape stands apart for its stylistic treatment, mimicking neither an idiom inspired by European movements, not any of the prevailing techniques of wash or 'turning to the roots'. He was an iconoclast, unafraid of exploring untested methods to give vision to his thoughts.
