Typed letter in English on the letterhead of The Ashram / Sabarmati dated 6-4-28 signed “M. K. Gandhi,” to Dr. Behram Navroji Khambhatta on lined paper with ink stamp ("7538"), single page, 8vo, with some typographical corrections done by Gandhiji himself.

Typed "My Dear Khambatta, / I have your radio from Aden./ I did not know when I replied that it was a / radio message. I therefore sent a telegram to / your Bombay address. Mr. Kapadia received the / telegram and acknowledged it. I hope that Jal / took the voyage comfortably and that he and / you all profited by it. // I am sending you herewith a letter to Austrian friends who will guide you in the / choice of doctor, should you decide to have the operation in Vienna. // May God bless Jal. With love to you all. // Yours sincerely, / M K Gandhi (signature)"

65 illustrations in black ink on 24 sheets, printed on one side only of each sheet; oblong quarto album-style binding in black buckram with two string knots and carrying the name of the album [Chitrakshar] and Tagore’s signature in Bengali embossed in gold on front cover.

Printed label with the name of the album Chitrakshar pasted inside the front cover states it is copy No. 9 of a Limited Edition of 200 copies. The label also bears the ink-stamped Bengali signature of Abanindranath Tagore.
