I consider my art as a tool for identifying the multi-cultural identitiies of a generation that has been separated from its original land and roots as part of the phenomenon of displacement.
The underlying theme in my work is to document people who have been displaced not out of their own choice, but due to various factors – political, social, war, genocide, geographical, seeking labor or wealth.
Some of it may be forced displacement, while some of it is out of choice.
My work attempts to encapsulate the historical reality of our times and the angst that accompanies displacement.
