Jignasha Ojha was born in Gujarat in 1979. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (painting) from th eFaculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, in 2001, followed by her Master’s degree in the same, from the same institution in 2003. In 2007, Ojha received the Commonwealth Arts and Craft Award from the Commonwealth Foundation in London. The artist has participated in a number of group shows in India and abroad, the most recent including 'Juxtaposition' at Red Earth Gallery, Baroda, in 2008; 'Intimate Space' at Suryakanti Art Gallery, Kerala, in 2008; 'Beyond Boundaries' at the Gallery in Cork Street, London, in 2008; 'Emerging India' at Henry Moore Gallery, the Royal College of Art, London, in 2007; 'Vanity Fair' at Mon Art Gallery, Kolkata, in 2007; 'Cynosure' at Red Earth Gallery, Baroda, in 2007; and 'Does Size Matter' at Art Konsult, New Delhi, also in 2007.
