Elaborate and traditional, this gold necklace comprises of a central pendant showcasing the 'garbhagriha' of a temple with Shiva and Parvati seated on Nandi and Lord Ganesha at the entrance, with a 'shikhara' or peak set with ruby cabochons. This central pendant is flanked by filigree work in motifs of animals, birds and foliage, suspending tiny temple bells in triads and connected to repeating links of Shiva-Parvati gold coins with a surround of scrolling veins and a snake figure to a surmount of Lord Ganesha. The links are connected by two thick gold chains to a similarly designed clasp with Shiva-Parvati and ruby cabochons.
