  • A 'BIRD' VASE    
    This cone shaped vase has a dense overall pattern of exotic birds and foliage. The opulence of the piece is reminiscent of Victorian style of wallpapers and furnishings. The designer has reinterpreted the romance and colour of the Victorian style by amalgamating ornate pattern with contemporary form. The vase itself has a simple and clean profile which is contrasted by the intricate web work of foliage creates a dramatic effect. The accent is on the linear quality; high polished finish of the vase is enhanced with the play of light.

  • AN 'EAGLE' BOWL    
    A deep bowl that is fixed on to green marble, and swivels on it for convenience of use. However what makes the bowl interesting is the addition of an eagle's head on a sleek curved stand. The bird holds a faceted circular smoky quartz in its beak, almost as if it would picked a piece of food from the bowl. This bowl has a unique play of light, the outer surface of the bowl has a smooth satin finish,and while the inside is sand blasted which does not bounce of the light but gives off a diffused light, while the brown stone in the beak is translucent and shimmers. Even empty this bowl would stand in as an objet d'art.

  • AN 'ELEPHANT' DISH    
    An elephant carved from a single block of Labradorite stone holds up a deep, silver dish on its trunk. The placement of the dish on the raised trunk and the manner in which the legs have been positioned addsmovement to the entire assemblage bringing in a sense drama to the piece. The silver dish has a satin finish on the outside, which have five green onyx inset on its outer side. The inside of the dishhas hand polished slightly rough finish which catches light brilliantly. The dish swivels on the trunk and has undulating edges.

  • A TWO TIER PLATTER    
    A sandwich platter traditionally has been used for serving bite sized sandwiches at tea time in English homes. This elegant two-tiered platter could serve a similar purpose or be adapted according to the need to serve, fruits, desserts or even mithai. The plates have a satin finish and the central stick and handle are in high finish that reflects the light. Enhancing the elegance of the piece is a red crystal bouquet of flowers placed in the circular handle.

  • A 'GONDOLA' BOWL    
    This deep dish is shaped like a boat, a modern day interpretation of a Venetian 'Gondola' style to be specific. The designer has played with the form of the dish, the curvilinear walls echo the rhythm of the water, this effect of movement is further enhanced by the small stand which raises the dish from the ground level. An ornate band of flowers wrap the walls of the dish, while the two ends are flanked by flying dragons, which also serve as handles. This could be used to hold floating arrangement of flowers or a pot pourri.

  • AN ORNATE CANDELABRA    
    This is a vintage candelabra with four arms and can hold 5 candles. It bears the makers mark 'H.S', of Henry Stratford from Sheffield, England. The circular base is flat and has four clawed feet, the column is a thin flute design, and the nozzle is firmly fixed. The arms are in foliate patterns and linked together by a delicate chain. Derived from the Latin word candelabrum meaning candlestick Tabletop or Centerpiece candelabras became popular in the Georgian and Victorian periods. Silverware being produced in Sheffield and Birmingham in particular gained recognition for their newfound techniques such as die-stamping.

  • A COFFEE AND TEA SET    
    An elegant tea and coffee kettle set with the milk and sugar pot stamped 'Lampeyer', silversmiths from Germany. Each piece also has the crescent moon, crown, and 800 hallmarks. The shoulder of each pot is engraved with a band of roses, and the lids are also ornamented with a pair of similar roses. The pots are in good condition, however the wood handles show some signs of wear.

    This design is a fusion between the horn of plenty or the Cornucopia and the Rhyton a cup from which the gods imbibed their drinks and usually had a ram's head at its base.This exquisite vase is fixed on a marble base that is inset on a wood pedestal; the wooden base is covered with a foliate pattern in silver.This would serve as a standalone piece of art or could be used for a dry arrangement of flowers.

    A twenty-four piece French cutlery set, comes in its original box. In the USA this is called flatware or silverware. Each piece has a maker's mark, 'M. D.' and also an 800 hallmark. The set seems to have commissioned to be made as it bears the monogram 'A. B.' on the box and the same is also inscribed on each of the pieces.

  • A BIRD VASE    
    The wide base tapers gracefully into a narrow mouth creating a bell shaped vase. The base of this bell shaped vase has a handcrafted design depicting ducks wading in a lotus pond with oxidized finish and the neck is with a high finish.The oxidized area brings enhances the linear elements and adds depth to the engraved drawings while the high finish of rest of the vase provides the perfect counterfoil.The treatment of the overall picture is reminiscent of the flora and fauna depictions of English renditions of the early twentieth century.

  • A BEE VASE    
    This tall, cylindrical shaped vase with a wide mouth is ideal for long stemmed flowers and arrangements. The overall pattern of bees adds an element of fun to the vase. The base is made of green stone which has a smooth finish is contrasted the hammered and slight oxidized finish of the silver. The diagonal lines on which the bees are placed add movement to the vase.

  • A TEA AND COFFEE SET    
    This five piece set has a tea and coffee kettle, milk and sugar pot with a waste bowl. The coffee kettle is elongated like an Oriental surai, (a water or drink dispenser) while the tea kettle is squat which creates an interesting fusion of forms. All the five pieces have the stylized petal fluting at the base and on the lid while the main body of the pots is left bare. There is a makers mark 'The Duhme Co.' and is hallmark stamping for sterling silver. The Duhme Company was started in 1840's by Herman Duhme in Cincinnati Ohio.

  • A CHEESE PLATTER WITH CHEESE STICKS    
    A simple utilitarian cheese platter gets a slight twist - the granite base has small silver spokes running around the plate like that of a ship's wheel. A tiny vase holds six picks for the cheese, which also complete the form of the wheel. The picks too look like part of an instrument box, however the ends have semi-precious stones - peridot, garnet and blue topaz, inlaid on them, which sparkle and throw light when the plate swivels around the base.

  • A SET OF 3 VASES    
    The lota which is the Indian name for a spherical vessel used to store water or liquids. Traditionally the smaller sized ones in metal formed an integral part of religious ceremonies and to serve water during meals, they come in plain or decorative forms. This group of three lotas of various sizes is a modern day interpretation of form and design; two of them have ribbed lines running from the top to the base, while one is left plain. All the three have high finish which adds to their sleek contemporary look.
